Tarpon Cluster Anchor: A Non-Slip Replacement of Frac Plug Technology
Meet the Tarpon Cluster Anchor, our latest solution designed to redefine efficiency and reliability in oil and gas completions. The Tarpon Cluster Anchor cannot slip or cause casing damage. This innovative, dissolvable tool anchors securely in a casing coupling profile or sub, eliminating the risk of slippage. Unlike conventional plugs, it avoids hard buttons, wear studs, or large elastomer debris, ensuring a clean and streamlined operation.
Robust Mechanical Seal
The Tarpon Cluster Anchor boasts a robust metal-to-metal seal, capable of withstanding a 10k psi differential pressure, and features a ball-in-place mechanism that flows off the seat effortlessly during production flowback. Precision placement is achieved using the Baker Setting Tool (BST), eliminating the need for the plug to 'flow' down into the collar profile. Designed for simplicity and durability, it performs exceptionally well even at greater depths.
- Anchors in a casing coupling profile or sub
- Cannot slip. Anchored into the pre-installed casing collar/sub not the inner wall of casing joint
- No hard buttons, wear studs or large elastomer debris
- No reliance on elastomer compression for isolation
- Metal-to-metal seal; 10k psi differential pressure
- Ball-in-place during the run
- Ball flows off seat easily during production flowback
- Placed precisely using Baker Setting Tool (BST). Does not need to ‘flow’ down into collar profile
- Simple in design. Robust design provides durability when run to longer depths
- Phased Technology Introduction, eventually fully dissolvable giving full drift casing bore
Tarpon Cluster Anchor Components

Frac pressure forces locking lug to the lower end of the profile pocket ball and ball seat create outward force on ball seat and through the body to seal on the profile sub causes a metal-to-metal seal.
